Detailed Feature Breakdown

Let's explore each new feature in detail:

One of our most requested features, batch downloading allows you to process multiple Twitter videos at once.

How Batch Downloading Works:

  • Multiple URL input - Enter up to 10 Twitter video URLs at once, separated by line breaks
  • Parallel processing - Our servers process multiple videos simultaneously for faster results
  • Queue status - Real-time status indicators show progress for each video in the batch
  • Bulk download - Option to download all videos as a single ZIP file
  • Individual control - Apply different quality settings to each video in the batch

Format Conversion

Twitter videos can now be converted to different formats directly within MediaFetcher, eliminating the need for separate conversion tools.

Available Format Options:

  • MP4 - Standard format with excellent compatibility across devices (default)
  • MOV - Higher quality option ideal for Apple devices and video editing
  • MKV - Advanced container format supporting multiple audio tracks and subtitles
  • GIF - Convert short clips to GIF format for easy sharing
  • MP3 - Extract audio only from Twitter videos

Collections Feature

Organize downloaded Twitter videos into collections without requiring an account or login, using secure browser storage.

How Collections Work

Collections allow you to categorize and organize Twitter videos you download. Each video can be added to one or more collections, tagged with custom labels, and sorted by various criteria. Collections persist between sessions using secure browser storage, so you don't lose your organization when closing the browser.

Collection Benefits

Collections make it easier to manage downloaded content for different projects or purposes. For example, you might create separate collections for "Research Material," "Entertainment," and "Work References." This organization helps you quickly find specific videos later without searching through your download folder.

Collection Features:

  • Custom naming - Create and name collections based on your needs
  • Tagging system - Add custom tags to videos for enhanced searchability
  • Sorting options - Arrange videos by date, size, duration, or custom order
  • Export/import - Transfer collections between devices or browsers
  • Privacy-focused - All data stored locally in your browser, not on our servers

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to create an account to use the new features?

No, all the basic features including batch downloading (up to 10 videos), MP4 conversion, and collections (up to 5) are available without an account. Premium subscribers get enhanced capabilities like more videos per batch, additional formats, and unlimited collections with cloud synchronization.

Will my collections data be stored on MediaFetcher servers?

No, for free users all collection data is stored locally in your browser using encrypted local storage. Only Premium users who opt-in to cloud synchronization will have their collections stored on our servers, and this data is protected with end-to-end encryption so we cannot access its contents.

How much faster is batch downloading compared to individual downloads?

Batch downloading is approximately 3-4 times faster than processing videos individually since our servers can handle multiple videos simultaneously. For example, downloading 10 videos in a batch typically takes the same amount of time as downloading 2-3 videos one by one.

Does format conversion affect video quality?

Our default conversion settings maintain the original quality while optimizing for the selected format. Premium users have access to advanced quality settings that allow fine-tuning of resolution, bitrate, and other parameters. Converting to GIF format is the only conversion that may noticeably reduce quality due to the inherent limitations of the GIF format.
